"Surajkund" International Fair

We all have seen fair's in our life. Some fair was located at your reaching power and some of them are not. Every fair has its own specialty and features. The same feature can be found in "Surajkund Mela", it’s a National fair which comes once in a year. It was first started at 1987. Every year in the month of February from 1-15 by the government of Haryana has been conducting in Surajkund Village. Surajkund Literal mean is "Lake of the Sun". The fact of surajkund is it is an ancient reservoir of the 10th century which had built with the shape of Rising Sun with the semi-circle design.

Goa- It was the theme of 28th Surajkund Mela Celebration 2014. In this year the Sri Lanka has been chosen as partner nation. Every year they change their theme. If we normally say and see we would found that, it has main attraction theme is "Handicraft Product" and culture diversities around the nation and it is the also the reason to celebrate the Surajkund Mela. Here you can easily analyses the quality and the hard work of the people.Surajkund Mela is famous for its own creativeness. People around the world come here to see its beauty and uniqueness. People come across the seven seas to see the culture of the tribunals and marginal people.

Some people comes here only to see the performance by folk performer i.e. Rajasthan- ghoomar from Udaipur, Kalbeliya from Jaisalmer, Bhopa, Chang etc. But the Ghoomar and kalbeliya are the most popular and re cognitional dance at International level. There is much more than a dance performance in Surajkund Mela. Basically Surajkund mela is not about the selling the product made by hands but also the showing the culture and ethos of the Indian traditional culture which do exist in some other parts of the nation (India). You can easily find the different people from different regions.

There are approx. 400 stalls and around 4 stages for performance in it. Surajkund is become a point of attraction from the period of the globalization when Indian policy has been changed to promote the trade free in the nation. The numbers of Visitors has been increasing every year because of its uniqueness and incredible culture. Every year around 50 best designer has been selected to design the whole complex of Surajkund. They used steel, wood, bamboo, iron, Artificial grasses, texture, cow manure, and more design the whole complex. The specific areas of Surajkund Mela are craft and weaver.

Some people say’s that, those people whose source of Income are to make and earn basis wait eagerly for the upcoming event in their own life because they have no other option to show their talent and creativity. Fair are held for entertainment purpose that what we think… but the reality is little bit different, fair is the source of income and identity too for those who has both but haven’t a place to show… that’s what I think about the show-maker in the fair. Lastly i just want to say that person who has been showing his/her talent in national fair is not here only for earn money....
Actually they are here for to prove SELF Identity.
